Dear BMR sponsors,
Even though you have all been reading about our exciting trip to Belgium, our season wrap-up would be incomplete without our final races here at home.
Our final showing at the Central Coast CX series proved to be an excercise in strength, with Mark Abele winning the final event, and snatching the overall series title from the hands of FoBMR (friend of Blackmarket Racing), Brett Lambert (Rock Lobster Racing). Tim and myself had strong rides to secure 2nd and 3rd overall in the series, as well as Bruce and Janel, who secured 2nd and 5th overall, respectively.
Janel and I had enough points to land near the top of the overall leader-board for the Peak Season series, even though we only attended 2 of the events, and the last race was held while we were in Belgium.
The balance of the results have been included in our "Sand Box" series of race reports from Belgium, but are included here in summary for the balance of our January time period. This officially closes the cyclocross season for us, and we look forward to a strong and healthy Spring/Summer, to again prepare for another successful 'cross campaign here in Northern California. Thank you all for both the direct, and indirect ways, in which you have given us the support we have felt throughout the season.
