Dear BMR sponsors,

We have had a hectic transition into Summer for the team, mostly due to the shock of Janel's cancer diagnosis. Janel is weathering the most important challenge of her life with the kind of character and determination she applies to her bike racing. You may stay abreast of Janel's condition here, while she soldiers into the second half of her chemo treatments. We are looking forward to later in the cross season, when Janel will be making her re-entry into racing for BMR.
This Summer we saw Bruce take a convincing victory in the 35th Annual Firefighter Summer Olympics. With very little time on the race course for preriding, and enduring extreme temps., Bruce survived a talented field and a small crash to seal the deal in his second attempt at this event. I was also able to book-end the Summer campaign with a nice win at the Howell Mountain Challenge, on the Angwin (Napa) race course, with the fastest expert time of the day (in any age group).
This time of the season is very hectic for us in preparation of our cyclocross campaign. We have several new sponsors to the team, and most have faithfully returned for another season of the "hardest hour of your life." Our season opener is Sept. 24th, with the boys at CCCX, but you can always check our race schedule to see where we'll be racing next.
